Young Friendly Walking Group was built to get people outdoors, explore the Norfolk countryside, and build a great community; and our walks will always be 100% free to join.
While joining a walk doesn't cost a penny, running the group behind the scenes does involve some ongoing costs. Expenses like maintaining our website, keeping our first aid kits fully stocked, buying refreshments, and paying for mapping subscriptions.
If you’ve enjoyed our walks and would like to help keep the group moving, any small contribution makes a huge difference! You can pitch in the price of a coffee (or a pint!) via our tip jar below.
Zero pressure whatsoever, just coming along and sharing a walk with us is the best support we could ask for.
Where will the money go?
💻 Admin: covering website costs and subscriptions to route planning software (OS Maps/AllTrails)
🍰 Refreshments: we love providing refreshments at the end of the walks and really want to continue to do so
🩹 Kit: making sure we have a well stocked first-aid kit
🚗 Parking: we will always try to find spots with free parking but on the odd occasion that we have to pay, we would love to be able to do this for everyone. We like to make a donation to churches/community centres if we use their car park
